Description:

In 2024, University of Phayao student organizations related to environment and sustainability are 26 Club (from 42 Club in University of Phayao) consist of: Natural Resources and Environment Conservation Club

 

SEEN -UP, attended an award in recognition “Gold level” from the youth environmental activities (Green Youth)

student club advisors for the Nature and Environment Conservation Club, and student representatives, attended an award ceremony in recognition of the university's youth environmental activities (Green Youth) for the academic year 2023. The award was given for their project "UP Rak(conserve) Source for water and Care for the Environment," which was evaluated at the gold standard level. The project involved creating water-pumping bicycles and solar-powered water turbines from recycled materials to treat wastewater in the university's water reservoir. This initiative was integrated with the student organization and the environmental unit of the university's building and grounds department. Additionally, they organized a campaign and training on "Fat and Oil" for students and staff.

 

 

Furthermore, the same group of students received an honorary award for their project under the Climate Change and Environment Youth Network for 2024. Their project, "Compost from Water Hyacinths," involved converting the large amounts of water hyacinths from the university's pond into compost and molded pots for planting chili seedlings, which were then delivered to the Im-jai Kitchen of the Student Quality Development and Disabled Student Center at the University of Phayao. This project was evaluated at the silver standard level by the Department of Climate Change and Environment at TK Palace and Convention Hotel, Bangkok.

 

 

UP recently organized a volunteer street cleaning event in Ban Tha Wang Khwai, located in the Mae Tam Muang Chum Community of Phayao Province.

The University of Phayao Social Responsibility to lead over 60 student volunteers in cleaning the streets of Ban Tha Wang Khwai, Mae Tam Muang Chum Community, Mae Tam Subdistrict, Mueang Phayao District, Phayao Province. After the flood situation returned to normal, many areas began their recovery efforts, specifically by cleaning the village roads that had been flooded. This effort was supported by the Phayao Municipality, under the leadership of Mr. Thirasak Sittichainakij, Advisor to the Mayor of Phayao. Personnel from the municipality also contributed by providing water-spraying vehicles. Additionally, residents volunteered to join in this effort.

 

The University of Phayao recently organized a volunteer street cleaning event in Ban Tha Wang Khwai, located in the Mae Tam Muang Chum Community of Phayao Province.

 

 

 

The Nature and Environmental Conservation Club student team.

The 2023 Nature and Environmental Conservation Club student team, which received a gold standard rating under the university's Green Youth Environmental Activities Program for the academic year 2023, and the 2024 Nature and Environmental Conservation Club student team, which received a silver standard rating under the 2024 Youth and Climate Change Environmental Network Program, to once again congratulate them after receiving an award plaque from the Department of Climate Change and Environment, with Dr. Surat Sedpho as the club advisor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

SEEN students attended training in the Energy Science Course training program. From June 4-8, 2024,

 

 

Students from the School of Energy and Environment (SEEN) who had met the qualification requirements attended training in the 7th Energy Science Course training program, which has been conducted continuously for four years. Organized by the Thailand Energy Academy, the program aims to enhance knowledge and understanding of the importance of energy in daily life, promote awareness of energy efficiency, and build a network of future social leaders who can contribute effectively. The training took place at PTT in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya

 

 

 

The students of the College of Education who passed the selection round of the Energy Research Proposal Competition (Pitching) at the 2nd year of higher education.

 

 

 

The president of University of Phayao leads the administrator teams, professors and other authorities to participate in planting banana tree for preventing the forest fire

 

 

University of Phayao has a policy of conservation and environmental protection, with an environmental club to drive the construction of dams to slow down the water to moisturize the forest.

 

SEEN organized activities to develop student leadership potential at Phetchaburi Province.

 

 

The School of Energy and Environmental (SEEN) Student Club, along with alumni of the SEEN, led a team of student clubs and nature conservation societies at University of Phayao. They carried out activities to prepare and develop student leadership potential by providing opportunities for everyone to participate in designing student activities during the academic year 2024. The relationship-building activities between current students and alumni took place from May 3rd to 6th, 2024, at The Space Resort, Cha-am, Phetchaburi Province. The activities were filled with fun, warmth, and authenticity of both alumni and current students.
