Description:

University of Phayao provides health services with comprehensive service support for the entire academic community.

The University of Phayao established the University of Phayao Hospital in 2015 with the objectives of developing the university’s infrastructure and capabilities to support the teaching of students in the fields of medicine and all fields of health sciences, as well as to provide medical services to personnel, students of the University of Phayao, and the general public. It provides outpatient services (during office hours), outpatient services (after office hours), inpatients (72 beds), and 24-hour emergency departments. It has provided full-scale medical services, both in general and specialized medical treatment, up until now.

Public health services and healthcare services given to personnel, students, and people by the University of Phayao have effects on the society, communities, economy, and health as follows: The society is full of people with good health, personnel, students, and people can access public health services.  Healthcare services are convenient and of good quality. Communities are stronger with self-reliance. Jobs are created income is generated, community economy is stimulated, reducing the government’s burden in providing public health services and healthcare services to people and generating revenue to the university, reducing the import of medical workers from foreign countries, and increasing the export of medical services. Personnel, students, and people have better health and well-being, living their lives to their full capacity. People’s quality of life is elevated and the mortality rate from diseases is reduced.

In addition to the University of Phayao Hospital providing medical services for personnel and students, each year the University of Phayao has a health examination project for Phayao University personnel as a university welfare organized to promote personnel to receive annual health examinations, to be searched for or searched for defects and abnormalities of the body, and to have measures to prevent and treat diseases through a health examination program which is divided by gender and age range.

The University of Phayao provides dental services in the form of a dental hospital is open by guidelines and serves patients for patients who make pre-appointments for the safety of dental services, according to the Dental Office, Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health. According to Dental Treatment Practices, patients can initially seek telephone consultation, appointment before arrival at dental work, dental examination and consultation, general dental care, fillings, grafting, tooth extraction, periodontal disease treatment (gingivitis), wisdom teeth dissection, root canal treatment by specialized dentists. The admission system is an appointment queue queuing system. All patients are required to undergo a diagnosis from the dentist by themselves so that the dentist can plan the treatment.

Exercise place University of Phayao

The University of Phayao has many exercise areas regularly used by staff and students. One of them is the ‘Songwan Sermsri Building’, which has many types of exercise equipment and sports fields. Many people choose to make appointments to play sports here. In the evening, when these health-conscious people gather, there is a loud noise and laughter like a party.

Songwan Sermsri Building has many exercise areas, but the one with the most people is the outdoor sports field. This is a large area with many types of sports fields, such as takraw, futsal, volleyball, basketball, tennis, and badminton. Inside the tennis court, there are not many people who play tennis because people prefer to bring badminton to play on the tennis court.

Another interesting thing is the takraw field. The kicking moves are like acrobatics and the takraw ball will hurt if it hits the head of someone who is not used to it. This field is attached to the entrance, but there is no fence. I think that if the takraw field was fenced, it would be better. Sometimes when walking into the field, I have seen the takraw ball roll out. Sometimes, it floats out.

In addition to the outdoor badminton field, there is also a badminton court on the top floor of the building. Everyone has to walk up a steep staircase to find this field. Inside, you will see only people playing badminton. Unlike outdoor stadiums with a variety of sports, it feels much more private, with options that everyone can choose from.

There's a playground that appears unused, despite its bright colors resembling children's toys. It features exercise machines designed for cardio and weight training. If you're looking to avoid a fitness center but still want to use workout equipment, the Songwan Sermsri Building offers these machines for free. Additionally, anyone who exercises should be mindful of hygiene by frequently washing their hands and using alcohol gel.

Exercise that is both fun and entertaining is skateboarding. This is another awesome skateboarding spot in the Songwan Sermsri building. Skateboarders should look after themselves to prevent injuries, even though it's a lot of fun.
