After graduation, students work in environmentally friendly jobs, which are jobs that are suitable for conserving or restoring the environment, whether in traditional sectors such as manufacturing and construction or in emerging green sectors such as renewable energy and energy efficiency, which will help improve energy and raw material efficiency, limit greenhouse gas emissions, reduce waste and pollution to a minimum, and protect and restore ecosystems, which support adaptation to the impacts of climate change. Green jobs are careers that have a primary purpose in driving the green economy and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. From now on into the future, green workers will play a significant role in the sustainable business world. The total number of graduates with green jobs in the past 3 years is 5,040 people.

For the most recent batch, Academic Year 2025, the students officially graduated in March 2026. At the time of this UI Green Metric submission cycle, the university's annual Graduate Employment Survey for this latest cohort is actively underway and has currently achieved a data collection/response rate of approximately 75–80%. Consequently, the reported green job statistics for this year represent a preliminary and conservative baseline. The actual number and percentage of graduates entering green jobs are highly anticipated to increase further once the remaining 20–25% of the survey data is fully captured and finalized. His Majesty the King graciously appointed Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to represent Him in presiding over the Royal Graduation Ceremony of the University of Phayao for the Academic Year 2024, held on 11 March 2026 at Phaya Ngam Muang Auditorium, University of Phayao, Phayao Province. A total of 4,388 graduates received their degrees during the ceremony. On this auspicious occasion, two Honorary Doctoral Degrees were also conferred upon Professor Dr. Sujin Jinayon and Mr. Withee Phanichpan in recognition of their distinguished contributions to society. In addition, the University presented one Outstanding Teaching Award for 2025 and four Outstanding Researcher Awards for 2024 to honor exemplary academic achievements. During the ceremony, Her Royal Highness delivered a royal address to the graduates, emphasizing the importance of applying the knowledge and skills gained through education for the benefit of society and the nation. The graduates were encouraged to uphold virtue, integrity, and lifelong self-development in order to contribute to sustainable progress for themselves and the broader community.

Reflecting its vital role in regional human capital development, the University of Phayao recorded an average annual intake of 6,799 first-year students recruited from the secondary education (Mathayom 6) tier in 2025. Concurrently, the institution successfully channels an average of 5,305 graduates into the workforce annually.
