The Sustainable Entrepreneurial University
University of Phayao actively fosters an entrepreneurial ecosystem rooted in the BCG (Bio-Circular-Green) Economy Model and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through the University of Phayao Innovation and Technology Transfer Institute (UPITI) and the University Business Incubator (UP-UBI), the university provides funding, mentoring, and incubation programs for students, researchers, and local innovators. Currently, University of Phayao has successfully established and supported 20 sustainability-related startups within the past 3 years. These startups span various sectors, including climate action, clean energy, waste management, and sustainable agriculture, driving positive environmental impacts both on campus and in the surrounding communities. Central to its philosophy is the Entrepreneurial Mindset, emphasizing "Creative thinking, taking genuine action, persevering until success, and creating meaningful impact."
